Today Year 4 had their third Ukulele lesson of the term with Mr Addington from the Rochdale Music Service. They are thoroughly enjoying these weekly lessons and Mr Addington is very impressed with how quickly they are learning the different chords. They have been using the chords they have learnt to play a range of songs, as demonstrated in the videos.

At the end of the Summer Term they will be putting on a Ukulele performance, which parents will be welcome to attend, where they will be showcasing everything they have learnt across the year.

Year 4, what are you enjoying most about your Ukulele lessons?

I really liked playing the Ukulele and singing along to the songs. I like learning new chords and sounds and liked listening to Mr Addington when we first came in and starting learning the song row row row the boat and achy breaky heart. I liked it when we did some games at the end.

I have really enjoyed ukulele. On the first week I liked finding out where the ukulele comes from, but since then I haven’t taken part as I hurt my little finger and was told I couldn’t join in. I can’t wait to join back in again.
