Michael Morpurgo

Michael Morpurgo’s inspiring new story of Robbie, a boy in a coma — victim of a car accident. Locked inside his own head, able to hear but not move or speak, Robbie tries to keep himself from slipping ever deeper into unconsciousness.

I liked this book as it was a bit sad but it had a happy ending and it showed how dogs and humans can love each other so much. The main character Robbie was a good boy who liked football and his dog like me, but he had an accident. He could hear everything but couldn’t wake up even for a surprise but he had his family and friends to wake up for. A ‘cool’ read.

I liked ‘Cool!’ but the worst part was when the boy got hit by the car.

Personally I really enjoyed cool because it had different emotions throughout the book. All so I loved the happy ending even though there wasn’t the happiest of beginnings. But why did Robbie’s parents didn’t think of bringing Lucky into the hospital in the first place?

Personally I really enjoyed cool because it happy ending even though it didn’t have the happiest of beginnings. I thought the bit at the end when Robbie wakes up and goes to the football match to find his team wins Is really heart warming. Why did Robbins parents not bring lucky in to the hospital sooner?
