On the Lake

Zip Wire

Smile Time in Reception

Today the Reception children began our ‘Smile Time’ program. They brushed their teeth for 2 minutes after lunch to make sure their teeth were glistening and covered in fluoride! Sparkling smiles everybody!

Bonfire Celebrations

Reception have enjoyed a busy first week back celebrating colour and Bonfire Night. They have written a firework sentence, made rockets and sparklers and created their own bonfire outdoors. They particularly enjoyed dressing Joseph up whilst learning how to keep safe on Bonfire Night.

Year 6 Puberty Talk

Year 6 had a visit from Steph and Laura, nurses from the NHS, to talk to them about growing up and the changes their body will go through. We had lots of laughs along the way with what can be a very embarrassing subject for some children.

Harvest

This week we enjoyed our annual Harvest assembly led by Reverend Susan. A huge thank you to everybody who brought food donations for the Heywood food bank, our harvest table was full of wonderful gifts for those less fortunate than ourselves.    

Smile Time in Reception

Reception have enjoyed a very special visit from Kelly and Kev the Croc who showed everybody how to look after their teeth. The children listened carefully to a story and sorted all Kelly’s shopping into healthy and unhealthy items for their teeth. They even got to use a huge toothbrush to learn how to brush properly.
